Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Snow and Jemison, $10, 1847, serial #9, an early unlisted engraved note payable one day after date, fractional denominations from these merchants, payable on the Bank of the State of Alabama were issued around 1840, but anything $1 or higher is unlisted. DTL imprint and not a counterfeit, this is a genuine engraved note that has possibly been falsely filled in. Extremely rare in any case, tear, missing lower right corner, good.   $250   photo
